I am from a small town named Kalyani in India, where blogging is not so popular to all. in fact I have no blogger friend here. All my blogger friends live from the different corner of our country like Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Chennai, Faridabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and more.

Our communication medium is Facebook community named 'Premium Tricks By IftiSEO' which is basically a hidden community. I am now not so active on Facebook as I said before Facebook is the biggest time waster, but for that community, I have to present there, to contact all of them.

Anyway, sometimes my non-blogger friends ask me if they need any coding skills to start a blog? No, the coding skill is not mandatory to start a blog. Now if you start your own blog on Blogger, WordPress, Weebly or Tumblr platform, they already have a basic layout. You just have to add text, pictures or videos as needed. Coding does not matter there.
Is Coding Skill Necessary For Bloggers?
I have read many mum's stories who run their own blog on different niches like food recipe, home decoration, beauty tips. It is not mad if a housewife gets 1000-2000$ at the end of the month. Especially for the thing she loves. So for them, coding is not as much important. The thing they do is just add some valuable content with proper image or video.

So if you start a blog about the topic you love, you can start it from today. Because a blog is just like a tree. As fast as you plant this, you will get the fruits in a shorter time than to plant the same one after 3-4 years. So it is better to start from now. It's not an instant process that you will create a blog, and it will start to generate revenue from the next day.

Let's back to the topic. Is coding necessary for blogging? As I said no, you could even run a blog without any coding knowledge. But the fact is, if you know how to code, it's an advantage. For example, if you are going to choose any custom template in blogger, you will get many.

You can download almost all of them for free of cost. Now when you implement them, you have to face some problems. You will not probably get the exact theme as you want. Coders take advantage of that case. They can customize the template as they want. Just like you will see a line at the footer of the blog "Powered By Blogger", it's so annoying. If you know this, you can delete this text. You can edit your footer, navigation bar.

You can change much more things like thumbnail image size, thumbnail text, blog width, sidebar width. You can add advertise codes like Adsense, media.net and man more. The full blog will be under your control. Whenever you need a change, you can do it yourself. Alternatively, you can hire a programmer and fix that issue, but they will take charge for this. freelancer.com and odesk.com are two best sites for hiring a web developer.

Again I say, you have no need to worry even if you don't know how to code. You can start your blog with their template if you want to do just at a basic level. But for professional use, coding is mandatory as blogging have to face different problems later where coding skill is the only way to solve that problem.

Even coding is really important for today's generation. Steve Jobs said, "Everybody in the country should know learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think.". Bill Gates said, "Learning to write programs stretches your mind, and helps you think better, creates a way of thinking about things that I think is helpful in all domains.

Google's ex-CEO Eric Schmidt said, "For most people on Earth, the digital revolution hasn't even started yet. Within the next ten years, all that will change. Let's get the whole world coding!" you simply can't ignore their foresightedness. Here is a brilliant answer by a web developer when is asked the importance of programming? Check the screenshot of his reply!
Quora Answer
A few months ago, Google CEO Sundar Pichai came to India, and he was asked in an interview that is programming compulsory for students? Then he replied, "It is not compulsory but highly recommended".

If you think to be a professional blogger, then go for coding, otherwise, if you want to share your talent with the world, just open a blog and start blogging. Here is a short film about the importance of coding featuring Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and many popular entrepreneurs. The title sounds interesting- "What Most School Don't Teach". Here is the video. Take a look.
If you think to learn to code then start with the basic language named HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). It's so easy that even a 5th-grade student can easily learn this. Then CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) and Javascript for advance. Those are enough to learn to code. You can buy a tutorial book if you look to read paperback book.

Otherwise, you can go for tutorial sites like www.w3schools.com, www.codecademy.com, etc. still if you need any help, you can contact me anytime. I will suggest you books/ articles, or I will help you with my coding skills. I am a web developer too. What do you think about programming? Do you know programming? If yes, then how many languages do you know? I would love to hear from you all. Just drop your comment below. Well, no more today. If you really like this post, share it with your friends via social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn and much more. Take care. Have a nice day.
