Recently I've published a details report on my blog's statistics, growth and performance for first six weeks. I think it's pretty good achievement and especially those compliments. Imran is my very good friend and mentor, and he knows me from the very first of my blogging journey. So his compliment matters to me a lot. As I said I'm not going to build a blog, but a brand. A brand needs overall growth in every field, social presence, search engine presence. As it is only six weeks old so, I should not expect good search engine presence right now. Almost of my posts has been indexed in Google. Ranking is the next part. I have to wait for few months to see the result.
How I Paid Only $0.001 To Facebook Ads Per Post Engagement
Social presence matters a lot for authority building. If you check Neil Patel's Facebook page and Twitter handle, you will find his articles has been posted after 1-2 hours difference. The more they share, the more they get social signals, which help to improve ranking. Though many webmaster and online marketers think the social signal is not a factor for ranking. But I don't think so. Google crawls Facebook too. And like, comment, share are the signs of appreciating an article. Whenever people start reacting positive, that means your article is great and share-worthy. Google gives priority to an article with huge social shares and likes. The top three social media are Google Plus, Facebook and Twitter. It has been said that Google gives more priority to google plus signals as this is their own social network [in the same way Google gives priority to YouTube videos over DailyMotion cause YouTube is their own product]. If you talk about Facebook, then share is the more important signal, then comment, then like. Here is the full chart of Google ranking signals, check it.

SEO Ranking Factors
The Twitter signal is important also. If you search for any famous personality (for e.g- Shah Rukh Khan), you will find his latest tweet in SERP (Search Engine Result Page). So Google crawls tweets, and even Google crawls Twitter better than Facebook. Try to tweet all your posts, when they will be liked and retweeted, you will get social signals. But all retweets have not the same value. Like if you have posted your blog post link, I retweeted that, and Harsh Agrawal also retweeted that. Harsh's retweet signal power will be far better than mine. Be active in your social profile. Share your posts, as well as other's posts, comment on other posts. It will help to build a community. And now more than billion people use Facebook per day. If you get a small percentage as your visitor, that will be enough. A few days ago, I read an article written by Neil Patel. He explained the power of social media and why it is so important for a blog to get traffic. Neil is one of the finest online marketers in the world, and I take his suggestion seriously.

Patel said if need an initial boost to your traffic then "Facebook Ads" is the best option for you. Because Facebook can give you targeted traffic to your page/site/post. Whenever we create Facebook profiles, we target demographics, likes and many data like age, location, interested in, profession, relationship status, etc. Whenever you are going to create an ad; Facebook will help you to sort out the best traffic available for you according to their data. Suppose, you make a blog on Valentine's day. You should then target only engaged or in a relationship people and not to select single ones. Committed persons are most interested about valentines day stuff than single ones. Another example for you, suppose you are creating a teasing campaign, where you are going to sell t-shirts for only them, who born in may. So you can easily feel that only people who born in March will be interested in buying. So if you target the people only who born in March, it will be easier to you. The more you will get response; the more your click-through rate will be. And therefore, it will decrease your per engagement or per click rate. Currently, I ran few Facebook ad campaigns and got some pretty results. I was able to make the per engagement cost to 0.001 dollars, and per page like cost to 0.004 dollars. Is not it pretty low? How would I able to do that? What's the reason or trick behind it? Ok, let me share this.

Facebook ads are comparatively cheaper than Google AdWords. If you can use Facebook ads properly, then you can expect some good results from it. When you create an advertisement, page promotion, website click or boost post, first you have to select locations. You may obviously select tier 1 countries like USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, etc. tier 1 will be better if you are going to promote affiliate products or CPA offers. But if you just need page likes or post engagement, then don't go for tier 1 countries. Choose those countries, which have a lower traffic value like- Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia. You will get traffic from these countries at very lower cost.
Targeted Audience
Now go for the gender and age. As my niche is blogging and online marketing, men are mostly interested in this. So I choose 'men' option. Young and middle-aged people are mostly interested in blogging and online marketing. So I selected from 16 to 34 aged people. Then you have to select interest. I added some options like blogging, make money blogging, make money online, make money from home, online marketing, digital marketing and much more. Next budget and campaign duration. I choose 250 rupees ($4) for each campaign and duration one day. Then started it. It took almost 10-15 minutes to get approved by Facebook adverts team. As soon as it gets approved, Facebook started showing my ads to the targeted people. And I received notifications like- ABC liked your page or XYZ liked your post. As I choose targeted audience, so it increased the CTR. Therefore the per engagement rate went low.

If you follow this way, you can get a huge amount of social signals from Facebook. I have received total 11K Facebook signals only to my blog home page. These signals definitely have some impact on Google ranking, but it's not the perfect time to understand the effect, I have to wait for sometimes to see the result. Well, no more today.
