I'm from a small town and blogging is not considered as a mainstream profession here. Even most of the people can't understand why people do blog, what's the reason, how to make money from it. I started my blogging journey since the last quarter of 2010. At the time, the internet was not so popular here. Very few were there who had an internet connection. And nowadays everyone in our locality is available on Facebook. Sometimes my friends ask me, to teach them blogging or how can one learn to blog! I don't really know what should I tell them, but my process was completely different (maybe we bloggers are different, we are not mainstream), that may not work for them. They need study material and all. And I refer them to read "ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income". And then they stop that topic. Maybe they don't want to read a complete book. They consider blogging as an instant money-making machine.

Here Matthew Tyson wrote a great post, so you can get an idea what blogging is or is that your cup of tea or not. To my friends, blogging means money. And nothing else. Whenever I purchase something, and they say, please teach me blogging. It's sometimes very embarrassing cause some of them didn't get into any job and they are desperately looking for a one. As they are 26 years old and it's the high time of someone's career. I feel sad for them, but apart from asking someone "teach me blogging", open google and search for what you are looking for. There are a lot of blogs which can teach you from scratch, and Shoutmeloud is probably one of them. An award-winning blog made by Harsh Agrawal. This blog will help you to start a blog step by step. Even I wrong some posts related how to start a blog; you have to search them on my archives

First, you need to read a lot before entering the blogging world. Once I read a line from Humayun Ahmed's book- if you want to write a story, you have to read 100 stories. It's completely true. The more you will read, the more you can understand that matter, rest is practical experience. If you need any more help, I can do that for you with my best. There are a lot of blogging related forums, Facebook groups. You can join all of them. So that if you face any issue, you can post a thread, and experts are there to help you.
What Do You Think About Blogging
Today I told one of my closest friends that, I don't know how to write a long post, especially keeping relevancy in the entire post. I may write, but the blog post will consist of multiple topics, and not focusing on a single issue. According to a study, 1900-2000 words are good for ranking on page one. I wrote few posts more than 2000 words, but those were on very competitive niche, so my blog did not rank well on those topics. But I wrote 300-350 words blog post for another blog, that ranked page one for a particular keyword, that has almost no competition. So it's very important to research keywords properly before dive into blogging zone. I use a keyword research tool named KWFinder. You can take a look at the post. No more now.
