Tozo’s new budget friendly wireless earbuds with built-in active noise cancellation (ANC) just seems too good to be true? But is it really worth it? The rise of wireless earbuds has been a trend for the past couple years. A wide array of earbuds are currently available in the market, with a range of prices going from $10 - $249. Choosing the right one for you can be such a hassle. So what makes the TOZO NC2 different amongst the rest?

TOZO NC2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds

Benefits

The product comes from a small box with a minimalistic design which I like. It is nicely packed as well. When you open the box, you will find 4 main items; the case itself that also acts as a charging port, a box with a type-c connector for charging, multiple ear tips for replacement and of course a pair of the TOZO NC2 earbuds. It comes in a built-in foam inside to protect the products from external damage. The packaging and unboxing is great, I just wish that they would include a power brick for the charger but, most earbuds nowadays just come with a charging wire.

Features

  • The earbuds come with a
  • IPX6 water and dust resistance
  • Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • Touch sensor controls
  • Usb Type-C Charger
  • Minimalistic LED lights (located in the case and the earbuds itself)

Design and Quality

The product comes in 3 different colors; black, blue and white. The charging case has an amazing matte finish that is why going for the black color option will really complement that clean matte look that the device has. The type-c charging port is located at the bottom of the case. That is why charging it while it’s upright will be impossible. I wish the placement of the port would be different, but having that LED light in front, to signal its battery and when it is charging completely compensates for that. The lid of the case uses magnets to keep it shut all the time when it's closed.

Moving on with the earbuds themselves. It is shaped in a way that resembles Apple’s airpods. It is in this plant stem shape making it very easy and comfortable in the ears when wearing it. The tips are also shaped in a way that when you move your head it will not easily fall off. The outside of the earbuds have this glass plastic texture to enable the touch sensor that the earbuds have. It also has some LED lights to signal the action that the buds are currently performing. One major advantage that the TOZO NC2 has is that it is water and dust resistant. That is why even when you are sweating from working out it will still work flawlessly or when you are using it under that rain it will not malfunction.

Touch Sensors

The built-in sensors that the earbuds have are great. It has multiple actions that it can perform like pausing the song that you are listening to with just a tap, skipping forward or backward, making the volume from low to high and even answering calls. The shortcuts that it provides are amazing and because of this it gives the earbuds itself a much more premium quality of product.

Battery life

The battery of the earbuds are also not bad. It can last up to 8 hours of media playback with the ANC off, while it can last up to 6 hours when the ANC is on. The charging time is just average since most earbuds do not feature a fast charging technology.

Active Noise Cancellation

The feature that separates TOZO NC2 earbuds is its ANC or Active Noise Cancellation. With the price that you are getting this is undoubtedly an amazing feat. Not a lot of budget earbuds offer a technology like this. That could only be found in much more high-end devices such as Apple’s airpods and Samsung’s galaxy buds that will cost you around $140 and more. The ANC that these earbuds have is good. And you can even choose if you want them turned on or off which is another massive advantage that these earbuds have.

Sound quality

Besides the fact that it can activate ANC, it also has a really amazing audio quality to it. The sound is crisp and clear and it also has a very punchy bass that is not too overwhelming. Watching movies will not be a problem with these earbuds because of the quality that it provides. It is capable, of course, of a 3D audio system. At the same time listening to music is also great because of how the sounds that are being produced sound so natural and it has a warm tone to it.

Latency

Because it is wireless and it is connected through Bluetooth. Sudden delays of sound especially when you are playing online games can be expected. But using the TOZO NC2, the sound latency is really low. There is not a lot of delay from the media and the sound you are hearing from your earbuds.

Compatibility

Because it uses Bluetooth 5.2, connecting it to devices will be at ease. You can use the earbuds with your Iphone, Android devices, laptops and many more.

Call and Microphone quality

Answering calls through the TOZO NC2 earbuds is flawless. You can hear the voice of the person you are talking to clearly. This is also a great choice when on a meeting or a video call. The microphone is average. When indoors the quality of your voice is clean because of the noise reduction inside. But when you are outside and there is a lot of noise in the background the microphone quality tends to fall off. This is because it does not have a built in wind or sound diffuser inside.

Conclusion

Undoubtedly the TOZO NC2 is an amazing earbud. With the price that you are getting and the features that this device has. It will surely be a great investment especially if you are on a tight budget and wanting yourself a great pair of earbuds that fit your wallet. Having a NC active and with IPX6 water and dust resistance that could only be found in high-end devices you are surely saving up a lot of money when buying this product.
